Réunion-Roland Garros Airport (IATA code: RUN) is the main airport on the island of Réunion, a French department in the Indian Ocean, named after the famous French aviator Roland Garros, a native of the island.
Strategically located in the north of the island, in the municipality of Sainte-Marie, the airport is only 7 km from Saint-Denis, the capital, which can be reached in about 15 minutes by car.
Its location allows easy access to the island’s main tourist resorts: Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, with its beautiful beaches, can be reached in 45 minutes (40 km), while Saint-Pierre, in the south of the island, is approximately one hour and 15 minutes away (85 km). The picturesque Cilaos, in the mountainous heart of the island, can be reached in about two hours (64 km).

The service is inexpensive (about EUR 2 per ride) and the buses are modern and air-conditioned. Journey time to Saint-Denis is approximately 30 minutes, but may vary depending on traffic. The service operates from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
