Gorges de Régalon

A few kilometres south of Cavaillon is the most spectacular canyon in the Luberon: in some places, the gorge is no more than a metre wide and the passage is surrounded by huge blocks of rock.

Formed almost 6 million years ago as a result of the formation of the Alps, these gorges offer a truly extraordinary landscape, at times dark and narrow.
There is a footpath to explore these ravines.

Travel Tips

• The level is medium and the route covers 9 km, about a 3-hour walk.
• Be prepared for any sudden downpours, which often break out in summer in this region.
• There is a charge for parking.
