Lourmarin

Unlike the villages in the area, this village is not perched on a rock but nestles at the foot of the Combe de Lourmarin. With its three bell towers and its discreet charm, it knows how to charm visitors with its characteristic narrow streets, cafés, inns offering typical cuisine and its lively Friday morning market.

Travel Tip

• At the Ferme de Gerbaud , guided tours are organised on aromatic herbs such as lavender and rosemary and their daily use in pharmacy, cooking and legends,  while on Thursday evenings, the farm owner prepares herb-based dinners.
• Not to be missed is a visit to the castle , which is truly beautiful for its furnishings and architectural solutions such as a prodigious spiral staircase of 93 steps made from a single piece.
