Bordeaux Airport

Bordeaux Mérignac Airport is located about 11 kilometres from the city centre of Bordeaux in the region of New Aquitaine and is the eighth busiest airport in France in terms of passenger traffic.

It mainly offers flights to metropolitan destinations in Europe and North Africa and serves as a base for EasyJet, Ryanair and Volotea airlines.

The airport consists of three terminals: Terminal A hosts international flights, Terminal B is dedicated to Air France traffic between Paris and Bordeaux while Terminal Billi is a separate facility for low-cost carriers.

Connections from the airport to the centre of Bordeaux

There are many ways to reach Bordeaux airport: buses, shuttle bus to the train station, taxis and car rental companies provide all the transport services you will need.

The terminals are open from 04:30 to 23:30, depending on flight schedules.

30’Direct Shuttle

The 30’Direct offers a direct service lasting an average of 30 minutes between Bordeaux Airport and Saint-Jean train station, providing passengers with an easy connection between two of the region’s main transport hubs.

The 30’Direct shuttle departs from Hall B of Bordeaux Airport and arrives at Hall 2 of Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station. The shuttles operate every day of the year, including public holidays. They are equipped with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi on board and are accessible to passengers with reduced mobility.

Buses

Access to Bordeaux airport by bus is via Lianes 1+, which serves the city centres of Bordeaux and Mérignac, as well as the railway station, and offers connections to the city’s tram lines.

The Lianes 1+ bus line provides a fast connection between Saint-Jean station and Bordeaux airport. It also provides direct access to the centre of Bordeaux and Mérignac and to the entire hotel complex located near the airport. The bus stop is located at Hall B, at Gate 7.

The line allows other connections with public transport in the city:

• from Bordeaux airport, transfer to the Mériadeck station stop with Lianes 3+, direction Quinconces.
• from Les Quinconces, transfer to the Gambetta station stop with Lianes 1+, direction Airport.
• correspondence with tram line A at Mérignac Centre and lines B and C at Bordeaux Quinconces.

Taxis

Taxis are available every day, from the first to the last flight of the day. The taxi rank is located outside Hall A.

There are several companies and your transfer can be booked in advance. An average trip to the city centre costs about 30€ in the daytime and 45€ at night.
